ZANGO KATAF, KADUNA STATE — June 10, 2025 | In a firm and unwavering tone, Hon. Jacob Solomon Maiyaki, newly appointed Assistant State Chairman and Zone 3 (Southern Kaduna) Coordinator of the Tinubu-Uba Leadership Network (TULN), has issued a strong warning to individuals and opposition groups peddling unverified information and misleading narratives about the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani.

In a statement delivered during a press briefing in Zango Kataf, Hon. Maiyaki declared that TULN will no longer tolerate reckless and self-serving media commentary intended to distract, defame, or discredit the genuine achievements of its leaders.

“We are aware that some of these so-called opinion writers and critics are only out to settle personal needs—whether to pay house rent or buy alcohol—by launching baseless attacks against government efforts,” he said. “Let it be known: TULN is fully empowered and committed to confronting such propaganda head-on.”

Hon. Maiyaki, a respected grassroots mobilizer in Southern Kaduna, emphasized that the mandate of TULN is to protect the image, integrity, and policy agenda of its principal leaders—President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani—especially as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“We have resolved, collectively, to defend our leaders’ vision and ensure their re-election. These are not ordinary politicians; they are architects of a better Nigeria. And we cannot sit idly while detractors spread lies to weaken our progress,” he stated.

Celebrating Progress, Securing the Future
Hon. Maiyaki applauded the notable strides made under the Tinubu-led federal administration, including the creation of new federal institutions in Zaria and Southern Kaduna:

Federal University of Education
Federal School of Nursing
Federal College of Agriculture
Federal Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Institute
Federal Technical College
Technology Incubation Centre
Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia
Federal Medical Centre, Kafanchan
He particularly highlighted the appointment of General Christopher Musa Gwabin—a son of Southern Kaduna—as Chief of Defence Staff, citing his effective leadership in reducing terrorist threats across the region.

“Unlike the previous 10 years of insecurity and government silence, today we have a CDS who is actively reshaping the security narrative in the Sahel and Southern Kaduna. Any attempt to downplay his achievements is a disservice to our people,” he warned.

Hon. Maiyaki cautioned opposition pundits against trying to fracture unity in the zone through divisive rhetoric or politically motivated publications.

“Don’t be used to create cracks in our zone. We know your tactics. TULN is better coordinated and more prepared to defend what we own and believe in,” he said.

A Call for Inclusion and Empowerment
While praising recent efforts by federal leadership to support traditional rulers and strengthen governance at the grassroots, Hon. Maiyaki urged the Speaker of the House of Representatives to establish a youth and women empowerment scheme dedicated to Southern Kaduna.

He also called on the leadership of TULN to initiate a courtesy visit to Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, noting that his recent federal appointment has the potential to create meaningful opportunities for young people in the region.

Next Steps
Hon. Maiyaki announced his intention to tour all 8 local government areas in Southern Kaduna in the coming weeks to ensure effective TULN coordination and mobilization.

“We will keep the momentum alive. We are here to win hearts, silence misinformation, and energize our base for what lies ahead in 2027,” he concluded.
